Which Puppy is Right For You?

Doodles are curious, friendly, and often hypoallergenic. Toy Aussiedoodles look different than Toy Goldendoodles, primarily due to their varied coat colors and textures, and their unique build.
A Toy Aussiedoodle will typically have wavy to curly fur that comes in a wide variety of colors such as merle (blue merle, red merle), black, chocolate, red, cream, and parti colors. A Toy Goldendoodle, in contrast, will have longer, curlier fur that will either be golden, apricot, or red.
They both share the desirable non-shedding or low-shedding, hypoallergenic coats that have become so sought after in Doodle varieties. If you choose a curlier F1B puppy, they will more than likely be safe for family members with allergies.
While both Toy Goldendoodles and Toy Aussiedoodles are very energetic, personable, and make great family dogs, there are distinct differences between the two.
Toy Goldendoodles are usually more friendly and enthusiastic, with a boundless happiness. Toy Aussiedoodles are high-spirited and highly intelligent, so it’s important to keep them well exercised by providing lots of playtime in a fenced area, long walks, interactive games, and consistent training. They bond well with immediate family and close friends, but if not well socialized, they may be more standoffish with strangers.
Toy Aussiedoodles thrive on having a "job" to keep them busy. The Australian Shepherd, a herding dog, passes on this instinct, so they may try to "herd" children or other animals at times. It's important to train your Toy Aussiedoodle early and consistently. Because they are outgoing and sweet dogs, they make great family pets and usually get along well with children and other animals. Be sure to keep your Toy Aussiedoodle socialized to ensure success with other animals and people. If your Toy Aussiedoodle is bonded and trained well early, they can be trained as service animals and can be quickly and easily taught boundaries. They're super sweet and intensely loyal to their family and friends.
Both breeds are highly intelligent and make excellent family pets. If you are searching for a pet for either a family with young children or for a sweet companion for a couple who is a little older in age, a Toy Goldendoodle or a Toy Aussiedoodle would be an excellent choice. They are also both incredibly effective guide or therapy dogs. With proper training and the opportunity to grow up in a loving family, Toy Goldendoodles and Toy Aussiedoodles are stunningly beautiful, loyal, loving pets with a high aptitude for learning, an infectious exuberance, and a huge heart for people.
